I played about four months after release. Fought and traded my way up to an A rated Asp, Python and Anaconda. Then I got bored and quit. Few years later when passenger hauling was activated I got back in the game. Slapped a bunch of cabins in all my ships and started hauling passengers for a few weeks. Then I got bored and quit. After watching a few Star Citizen updates last week I got the urge to go where no man had gone before, again. After doing that for a few hours with my Asp and adding 50 million to my account I got bored again. Engineering, I thought, might add something to the game. Indeed it did, more boredom. No engineering for me. I enjoy hauling around passengers and light freight in my three ships for a few hours a week and that’s how the game stays enjoyable. When interdicted by Pirates I have the firepower to evaporate them. When I feel the urge for a good fight I go bounty hunting. Finding a balance to keep things fun is what it’s all about. Grinding for credits, engineering and what not reminds me of work. I’m now slowly figuring out all the little minutiae of the game without getting bored. Few hours per week at a time. Looking forward to Atmospheric planets and space legs. By the time this thing is all fleshed out Star Citizen might be actually ready.
