You still have to exit the station manually so docking computer only helps you to enter the mailslot without scraping the paint. I can understand the difficulty of docking it, but personally I have hit the wings to the mailslot walls only several times and I have docked it hundreds of times already, so it's not a problem if you have any patience aligning the ship with the entrance.
