As you start to get a larger bank account - use it to trade gold... not quite the bountiful returns of some other listings here, but safe and you can get about 1,500CR per T if you pick the right trade routes. In just a sidewinder I ended up getting about 10k per run just doing gold trade - always evade interdictions if you don't want to loose your cargo - its a hefty blow to the account to lose a full load of gold.
