the turrets work fine, and sorry, but fixed just dont suit my play style and would be hell to try and use on for example, a clipper, and no,these do not do worse damage to human ships, pve human ships...these are among the best weapons for blowing them the fuck up....
use the build tool and check the results, the rank3's are BRUTAL power use/damage/heat nothing can beat them for sustained dps, for pvp, fixed are a must since chaf....for pve...i only used fixed in small craft :)
