The Cobra mkIV (mark 4) is available to only those who bought both Elite Dangerous and Elite Dangerous: Horizions within a certain timeframe of the release of Horizons, as it was a exclusive bonus ship that was part pre-order of horizon's bonus, part thank you for buying both the original game and the Horizon season pass/expansion (the horizon season pass/expansion also included access to the original base game, so those who bought both the original and horizons were in effect paying for the original twice). The time for buying access to this promotional bonus content has passed, and only those who have already unlocked access to the Cobra mkIV can buy it from shipyards. Last time I was in the "bubble" (mid 2016), this ship was still being sold at starports for me, but thats because I already had acess to this bonus content.
