This would be a good time as any to tell you about differences here on the Wiki.
As of today Wikia issued out a new stylesheet for screen sizes, typography and line-heights. This makes things easier to read on tablets and mobile, as for desktop it is very much debatable whether it's good or not. But this is not something we'll address soon as this is issued from the Wikia developers themselves. But we'll try to make changes in a few days to address our now new issues as that's when Wikia's bugs will probably have been sorted. Our changes will most likely be table-orientated.
Now for the things I wanted to let you know about. I recently found myself browsing Lua templating on Wikia and as such remade the ShipInfobox from wikitext to Lua's infobox template and it works as planned, as of right now it's good enough but if the style is an issue we'll improve it later on and including a Lua module for it.
Because of Lua we've changed the Template:Navbox, we got the code directly from RuneScape:Wikia as it is very well made (Module:Tnavbar could be improved though). As it stands, I've converted all navboxes to the new template, example: Template:ShipNavbox, and I have plans to create various navboxes to use on various pages. This is especially true for roles-related topics, but I'm going to experiment more to see what will probably work and what won't.
We have also changed the MediaWiki:Common.js to include various changes, more notibly the auto-refresh checkbox in Special:WikiActivity and Special:RecentChanges and the fact that collapsable tables will now instantly collapse rather than fade out. On the topic of our JavaScript we've also added Google Analytics to see which pages are the most visited, what people search for to get to the Wikia and what platforms people browse on, this change will hopefully make us see what pages are rarely getting visited and if we can increase the view of them through navboxes and search optimizations. The adding of Google Analytics is purely my decision and may be deleted further down the line, any admins that would like to have access to view these analytics should email me on spytec13@gmail.com. Please note that Google Analytics never stores IP, if you want to disable Google Analytics one can install a third-party plugin to your browser to disable it amongst other third-party scripts.<ac_metadata title="Recent changes with templates and style of the Wikia" notify_everyone="1432058080"> </ac_metadata>
