A very nice ship, especially if you like not to limit yourself to one role. As you can easily carry 100-200tons of cargo while still havine good shields and armor. The powerdistributor has no issues to power 5 Beamlasers, and the weaponplacement is probably one of the best as you can nearly all teh time brign all 5 weapons on the target. Jumprange still stays at 16-17 LJ and with the rather big fueltank overal range is good too.
Think it is the perfect smuggler or blokaderunner, it is fast enough to outrun everything it can not outfight. Since it is big enough to not be masslocked by security patrols you can even escape from these.
Only disadvantege is, it is very brittle as soon as you loose your shields. Be prepared to loose modules as soon as the hull gets to 70%. And teh cockpit canopy seems to be made out of thin plastic as it gets breached regularly. In playing Elite for 1,5 years I never had so mayn breaches as with flying the Python for 1-2 months. Good thing is the shields with 1-2 boosters are strong enough to withold most attacks when going 1 on 1, just be careful when attacking wings.
