Everyone takes damage from interdicting - It's just chance (I think) whether you happen the take damage or not. Because I fly a Python if someone trys to interdict me I just throttle to 0 which makes you submit with absolutley no chance of taking damage. You can also see if who is interdicting you is a player or a bot - A bot will be a solid red block on your radar behind you, whereas a human player is only a bordered red block with a coulourless center.
