When I first flew the Conda I thought "wow I'd have much more fun if this was a little bit faster and more manoeuvrable". Lo and behold here comes the Corvette (this is actually the same reason I despise the Cutter as a combat ship. I'm almost certain the Vulture yaws faster than it pitches). And while getting two huge fixed PAs to work is a bit harder than doing the same with three gimballed lasers, the payoff is well worth it. Plus the new huge multicannons are just around the corner, can't wait to get my hands on a pair of those :D
That said, the large hardpoint on Corvette is a dick move on the Core Dynamics' side, since the other six can easily shoot above the... uhh... waterline, and the large one has a lot of issues, even when gimbaled/turretted.
