The Federal Corvette is only good for combat in realistic terms, where the Anaconda works well in every role. If you want a ship that can explore, mine, trade, and etc, while still being passable in combat, then the Anaconda is your goto. If you wanna pirate the crap out of just about anyone, or wreck conflict zones, then the Federal Corvette is your goto.

Fighting ships are characterized by their damage dealing abilty, focus on limited moduels for combat roles, defensive capabilities, and generally a short jump range. Where as traders, explorers, miners, and multirole ships are characterized by their ability to mount diverse moduels, lower defenses, and impressive jump range. Which is what separates the Federal Corvette from the other two in it's class, it's purely a combat ship. The Anaconda and Imperial Cutter on the other hand are much more suited to roles other than straight up combat. Both of the latter ships kit out well for things other than combat, the Corvette does not.
