I fly an unengineered vulture with dual plasma accelerators. Cobras are what I engage when I'm trying to get a quick kill before the rest of my wing can engage... lol. If you can pull together 30mil (pocket change) you'll not find a better pound for pound fighter in the game. Engineer it and it just gets better. It'll keep in the blind spot of a conda all day and can outmaneuver anything but an eagle, which is a one-shot kill anyway.
