I figured out why the oxygen may be so low.
Whenever a hull breach happens that part of the ship is locked down untill repaired. the same will happen if the glass breaks, pilots may use personal oxygen tanks that are for emergency purposes that the carry around for mobility although we have dive tanks now that last hours under water so the question still remains. that said I dont know why they wouldnt have an oxygen supply coming from the rest of the ship where the oxygen is. And the docking bay has a force field that keeps the oxygen in the bay from escaping so why cant that be installed on a ship? and one last thing. realisticaly you wouldnt use glass when people are shooting at you. you would have a compartment in the middle of the ship using cameras on the hull so this issue wouldnt happen at all. If you actually read this whole essay of a comment then I respect you.
