It's not multipurpose ship! For exploring it's really bad - with max jump around 25 ly. After upgrading with engineers - 35 max. Anaconda, and both explorers - diamond back and ASP, around 50-60 ly consider buying two and python for different missions but not passenger ones (the ASP is only 6 mln price)! This is heavy fighter, good for mining and cargo (not long distance again though), also planetary misions where short distance is covered and large cargo bay required.
I switched from ASP Explorer and sometimes miss it... Probably must consider buying again (to earn a few milions quickly in passenger missions ;)).
