Somebody mentioned advising players to save/quit was abusing the game's mechanics. Well of course it is! Testers are at liberty to do whatever they please in the beta and we are STILL in the beta. If it was the final game then things would be different and it might be considered unsporting or unethical. Right now it isn't.
A player who risks all by flying what he cannot afford to replace, in a bid to make more credits, does not want to end up in a free sidewinder back at square one. It's not like it's easy starting off from scratch, as we all know. So, in a bid to assist those who may find themselves in a dangerous situation and cannot afford to lose their ship when they're interdicted, they can log out and back in again.
Frontier will obviously address this matter before final release and create some game mechanic which stops the exploitation of logging out to save your skin!
