I've noticed that to avoid damaging yourself from interdiction (and make overall interdiction easier?), you have to have appropriate class for your ships mass.

I used class 1 A rank interdictor on my viper, and it seemed to take nick 1/8 out of hull and ship integrity everytime. Switched to class 2 and it happened less. For my current ship ASP I use class 3 and it seems to be right class for that ship.
