So I had a 6000 bounty for accidentally squishing an NPC during a fight with a legit pirate.

With 2 days left on the timer, I decided to buy a Sidewinder with no shields to remove said bounty.

went back to the system, got killed by the authorities, and now bounty timer reset to 7 days?!

Is there anyway to remove this?
