Emotes
Emotes are gestures that On Foot commanders can use for nonverbal communication. These are selected through the InSight Hub of the HUD. Emotes are context-sensitive and can be directed at other commanders, NPCs or personal ships.[1][2]
List of Emotes
There are currently 8 emotes.

| Applaud | If directed at the player's ship or SRV, the vessel will toggle it's headlights. | |

| Go/Advance | ||
| Point | Applies temporary HUD markers to highlight points of interest to Team members. You can point at NPCs to see their names. | |
| Salute | Salute at an NPC and they will sometimes salute back. | |
| Stop | ||
| Wave | If directed at the player's ship while landed on the surface of a planet, the ship will be dismissed to orbit. If you wave at an NPC they will occasionally wave back. |
