Neutral point of view provides local editorial guidance for the independent Elite Dangerous Wiki. Apply it alongside community standards and existing local policies.

Describe rather than promote

Describe ships, factions, player groups and game systems accurately and impartially. Separate in-universe viewpoints from the wiki's own explanatory voice. Attribute opinions, criticism and claims of superiority to their sources. Avoid promotional language, faction advocacy and personal attacks.

Proportion and context

Give significant, supported views weight appropriate to their relevance and evidence. Neutrality does not require giving unsupported rumours equal space with documented facts. Explain version changes and the limits of measurements rather than selecting only results that favour a preferred conclusion.

Resolving disagreements

Discuss the disputed wording and evidence on the article talk page. A neutrality notice should identify a concrete problem and be removed when that problem is resolved. Follow Project:Community standards and Project:Dispute.
