Bauxite is a specific item of Minerals in the galaxy. It is a commodity item of low value that naturally occurs in rocky asteroid belts and rocky planet rings and can be bought and sold on the Commodities Market. It is generally sought after in Refinery star systems. It can be refined into Aluminium with a Refinery Contact.

Bauxite is the main source of aluminium, and is in fact a mix of ores that occur naturally together sometimes with small amounts of rutile and haematite. A key source of aluminum for refineries.
