Really, no. That is nitpicking.

If NASA or ESA are using the term (solar system) to refer to other systems beyond our own, then your argument is in trouble.

It depends on our frame of reference. When we look at sky here, we call them as stars, but then when we are at the far away system, that star is called 'the sun' from that frame of reference.
