If you like role playing why not accept that there are hoodlums in space who want to kill you for fun? Why not accept the concequences? Why not try to come up with countermeasures?

Combat logging Is explicitly considered cheating, nobody accepts it. It's just that technically it's tricky to automatically detect and punish it (what with people with bad connections, the game crashing, people actually having a good IRL reason to log off etc...)
