16T of relics is max ~2M cr = one surface scan job. The exploration data from my weeny 6K ly passenger jaunt to unlock Palin earnt me 40M cr + 25M from the pax. And what have you got onboard the DBX if you're not taking cargo OR shields? Dual AFMs I guess.

I agree with the first reply that an AFM is not nessesary, and run an almost identical setup myself.

That said, I welcome the idea of a "exploration scanner", combining a ADS and DSS in a class 3 slot.
