There's a mistake in the calculation here:

"Michael Brooks said on the morning of March 17, 2016 approximately 30 million 851 thousand 973 systems were explored by people. That's 0.0077% of the Milky Way galaxy."

That's taking the number of stars (400 billion) not systems (100 billion). The true figure is 0.031% of the milky way's systems.
