Your FSD generates heat while charging. 

Being close to a huge mass will hamper the charging time. This means you will generate more heat before charging is finished. Stars are also hot by themselves and heat you up additionally if too close.Or maybe it's the extra strain on the FSD. Or both.. In any case:

Just cruise away from the star for a few seconds, then engange hyperspace.

The game was very friendly to me, since I love researching wiki's and explore game rules. Without a steep learning curve, this game wouldn't be that interesting.
