CQC Championship
The Close Quarters Combat, abbreviated as CQC, is an upcoming update in Elite: Dangerous which will contain an arena owned by Utopixx Entertainment that consists of several competitive modes including 12 player Deathmatch, 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. You will be able to fly the Sidewinder, Eagle and F63 Condor, unlock modules, weapons and abilities.[1][2]
CQC will be coming out on Xbox One as a timed exclusive and will be released to PC and Mac before the end of 2015.[1][3]
Furthermore, CQC will be separate from the rest of the game.[4]
Arenas
On release, we know that there will be at least one arena available. The arena showcased in dev updates and newsletters is called Elevate.
