I tried a class 3 on the top mounted hardpoint of my FAS. My feelings are mixed on that, especially the extremly low rate of fire, and it seems to be temperamental when you have generates some heat already from firing your lasers, then it seems to just not want to fire. So after a laser barrage I need to cool down a bit before firing the accellerator. Damage output also seems to vary a lot, depending where you hit.

Sine ammocosts are quite high and with the low shotspeed I normally only fire when the enemy is filling my screen so that there is no chance you miss.

It is quite fun when it works, 2 shotted a Type 6 from full shields once, but overall I feel I can get rid of the enemies quicker with my 4 gimballed beamlasers targeting the powerplant.
