I have found Bi Weaves superior as long as you can dedicate power to SYS. If you're not utilizing the enhanced regen rate to it's fullest (along with the damage reduction of full pips in SYS) then don't bother using them. 

Only other thing I can say is that when they do go down, be sure to switch off shield booster modules as they will hamper the reformation of the shields. Once the shields are back up, fire off a SCB and be sure to flick back on your modules.
