Another thing for the Pack Hound's effectiveness: If your target has point defense or is skilled enough to target and destroy incoming missiles with his lasers, then you've made a wasted shot and wasted precious seconds with normal seeker missiles. But with several rounds fired with each shot, their chance to stop all incoming damage is decreased dramatically.

And even better, firing super-duper anime missiles makes you look like a boss.
