Furthermore your point defense turrets require line of sight to the incoming missile\limpet, ECM is an AoE but must be manually fired not only this but charged up like a d.scan (range is extended with more charge). Finally the ECM has a cooldown period whereas a PDT will just keep firing as long as it has energy to do so.
