I would not underestimate the 2 huge hardpoints of the corvette, 2 gimballed cannons will pretty much always have another big ship in its firing arc and be devastating for the opponent.

The cutter on the other hand has its huge hardpoint on its belly ( I  GUESS ), pretty much like the anaconda and the FDL and it's already a bit hard to use it properly on the agile FDL.

while i agree that the hardpoint sizes are better on the cutter, i would not judge too early, my guess is, that those two vessels will be balanced quite good in terms of usability.
