The Asp Scout will probably be to Planetary Landing, as the DBS is to Power Play. Not a "perfect ship" in every sense, but the best overall multi-role small ship for the available gameplay in Horizons. Just as the Cobra was the best overall ship for the gameplay available at initial release.

When Aerodynamics become an issue (if they ever do, even with atmo mechanics), then we'll probably get a whole different set of ships. That probably won't be for a while though, and is irrelevant atm.
