I am guessing that the Asp Scout will be the new "Cobra" of Horizons.   Frontier probably wants a ship with amazing visibiliy to show off those planetary surfaces without having to use debug cam, or dive bombing (crashing?) into planets.  Very likely this ship will have to be good enough that people will want to fly it, so it will probably be an amazing little multirole ship, and handle very well under gravity.

Most other ships with limited lower visibility are going to have to bank, dive bomb, or fly upside down just to see the surfaces beneath them.  And seeing beneath you will be a huge advantage when assaulting ground stations in wings.
