If you did yourself a favor and got the best life support, then you got 25 minutes to dock on a station. If you make it, you can either fix it or have another 25 minutes (starting from undock) to find one that can fix your hull.

If you can't get to a station within 25 minutes, you're screwed, simple as that.

Which is why, when going on a really long expedition you should avoid forcibly dropping out of super. Which means:

1) Get a Conda, these can take somewhat a beating.

2) Always be on your guard, especially at popular expedition targets such as Sagittarius A* (the supermassive black hole in the galactic center)

3) If you see a neutron star, get away from it ASAP. These things are almost invisible since they look exactly like the stars in the background. Best keep them marked so you don't lose sight of them till you found your target.

4) if your star doesn't give fuel, then it's the wrong star. Getting inside the "ring" won't give you fuel but a free ticket out of supercruise and maybe a few cracks in the canopy.

5) Remember to never charge at planets directly at full speed. Actually flying into one will drop you out of super just as getting too close to a planet would

6) Black holes aren't THAT dangerous since they stand out quite a bit with them bending the air. If you are careful, you can get right in front of it by carefully apporaching it with less than 1Mm/s. No, you won't get sucked in and killed, but the view is quite.... interesting. Check out youtube videos of black holes to see what I mean if you havent alreay

7) Try to win the interdiction-minigame
