Your Trade rank includes includes smuggling profit as well as regular trading, those 2 combined must have pushed you over 800,000. The % you see is how close you are you to ranking up to Merchant, so 3,760,000 - 800,000 = 2,960,000. The 14% you have means you've made 414,400 towards the 2,960,000 profit you need to reach Merchant.
