I've been using the prospector drone for the last few hours, and most of the time the newest drone self destructs when i fire the fifth drone (4 is my max atm). This doesn't happen every time, but it seems like the furthest away drones last the longest (meaning the wont self destruct when i exceed the limit but only when i cross the operational range).
