User blog comment:Pinkachu/E3 2015 Community Q&A - What does the future hold for Elite Dangerous/@comment-82.69.31.190-20150614091934
Firstly, there are star systems on the fringes of the galaxy which are currently beyond the limits of current ships with their present jump ranges. Is it intended that some systems shall remain forever never to be visited, or shall we at some point have the ability to travel greater distances, maybe with the capital ship method of interstellar travel?
Another method which has been put forward on the forums is a sort of boost, whereby the FSD is pushed beyond 100% stability, possibly using fuel in extra fuel containers. This would allow an extended jump distance at the cost of FSD damage. If explorers (or 'discoverers' as the ingame System Map text refers to them) could retain adequate AFMU munitions till they reach the galactic rim they might be able to push explored space further out.
Secondly, do the game designers read & seriously consider suggestions made on the various sites or forums by players about improving gameplay/features?
Lastly, shall inhabited space grow? It has seemed rather static so far. Could PP see Powers and/or factions build a few more stations on the edges of their territories?
