Asp has higher dps against small and medium ships than a vulture, and the same dps against large ships. Plus it can power grade A thrusters and a shield cell bank and 4 boosters and a class A shield and a full weapon loadout. Only downside for me is the class 4 power dis and the rather weak starting shields.
