Module priority control is a form of smart power management. By manipulating the power draw priority of certain ship modules the maximum power usage of a ship's power plant (100%) can be exceeded while keeping the ship entirely functional even with deployed hardpoints.

Pilots use this method to outfit their ships with higher-grade hardpoints, internals, and compartments which would otherwise shutdown the ship due to excessive power draw.
