Emergency power cells used to provide power when the primary power source is unavailable. They can also be used to temporarily increase power output.

Emergency Power Cells are a Machinery Commodity available at surface ports with Industrial economies. They are also available at orbital starports within 30 ly of the Akhenaten system with High Tech and Refinery economies.

Notes

• Emergency Power Cells were originally available only near the Akhenaten system and on Trailblazer megaships. When the Trailblazer fleet was withdrawn on 11 November 2025, Emergency Power Cells became available at all surface ports with industrial economies. This change was part of the v4.2.2.0 Dodec Update to Elite Dangerous: Odyssey.
