Platinum, Pt. atomic number 78. Melting point 2,041K. A grey-white precious metal used as a catalyst within many industrial processes, in addition to its value in electronics and luxury goods because of its resistance to corrosion.

Platinum is a Metal Commodity. It can be obtained by Laser Mining asteroids in Metallic Planetary Ring Systems, or Core mining in Metal Rich Rings.

It can also be obtained from collecting canisters at Irregular Markers.
