Debug Camera

From Elite Dangerous Wiki
Revision as of 14:23, 19 March 2015 by 82.2.95.19 (talk) (Changed to describe the initially unmapped controls for the Debug Camera in latest release. Added instructions on how to assign controls to Notes section.)

The Debug Camera is a feature that provides players with an external view of their ship. By default, the controls for the Debug Camera are unmapped and must first be assigned by the player (see below). Once the camera is activated, use the normal flight controls to move the camera. The debug camera can be deactivated by pressing the button combination a second time. Keep in mind that while the Debug Camera is active the player cannot control their ship thus leaving them vulnerable to an attack.

Notes

  • The addition of the debug camera allowed players to take screenshots without having to worry about parts of the ship's cockpit obscuring sections of the image.
  • The controls for the Debug Camera can be assigned in Options > Controls, by scrolling down to the Miscellaneous controls section and selecting the Debug Camera Toggle option.
