Cobra Mk III
The Cobra Mk. III is a larger and more popular version of the cobra Mk. I. It was first seen in service in 3100 AD, originally manufactured by Cowell & McGrath Shipyard, Lave. Since Cowell & McGrath's acquisition by Faulcon de Lacey it is now branded as an FdL made ship.
It is equipped with several special features, including Zieman Energy Deflection Shields, mountings for four Ingram 'Pulse Lasers ', a Lance & Ferman Seek & Kill missile system, and Kruger "lightfast" motors from Irrikan ThruSpace.
With its good-sized cargo hold the Cobra is a logical step on a trader's route to riches. It also has much better combat potential than the Lakon series of large freighters, making It a favourite of lone-wolf traders. What's more, it is an Ideal craft for a pirate to plunder the space lanes because of Its ample capacity for loot. A low heat signature also helps pirates, smugglers and others seeking to avoid the attentions of the authorities.
The downside of this ship is the combat ability relative to cheaper ships such as the Eagle or the Viper so the Cobra is only advisable for bounty hunters if they plan on taking up piracy in the near future.

Outfitting
All ships are highly customizable through outfitting. Each outfit slot has a maximum class that can be put into that slot. Apart from classes, outfits also have a quality rating A-H, and other characteristics such as energy drain, armor piercing, etc.
