The Corsair is an upcoming multirole medium ship produced by Gutamaya.[1] It's a successor to the Imperial Clipper and superior to the Python. Imperial Navy ranks are not required. It will be available for ARX on 8 April 2025.
Overview
It has maximum cargo capacity, very strong hardpoint selection, and size 7 thrusters.[1] It's designed to do all 3 main roles equally.[1] It has blue neon strip lights that highlight the shape of the hull, and minimal heat vents that fit inside the ship.[1] The cockpit is similar to the Imperial Courier with an extra seat.
Development
The Corsair was unveiled during a Frontier Unlocked livestream on 26 Feb 2025.[1] As previous medium SCO native ships covered Combat, Trading and Exploration (in the Python Mk II, Type-8 and Mandalay respectively), the Corsair represents the first new multi-purpose medium ship. No details of Imperial rank requirement were stated in the reveal.
