Credits
Credits (abbreviated as "CR") is a standardized and universal currency in the Milky Way galaxy.[1] Everything bought, sold, or paid for is valued and calculated in credits. Physical money or cash is not used, as all credits are digital and stored/exchanged electronically.

Credits are accepted as currency in all human occupied space such as the Core Systems and the Colonia Region.

Every Commander uses the Bank of Zaonce. Players can check their current credit balance and total credits accumulated by viewing the Status menu on the right hand panel of their ship, or in Starport Services when docked at a station.
Interstellar Credit
"The Interstellar Credit (cr) is the universal currency as regulated by the Bank of Zaonce. The approximate value of even a single credit is about $2 in 21st century money, an RPG linked with ED estimates it a $50, but commodity prices do not support this. It could be argued that some planets would have this kind of discrepancy. Others clearly wouldn't. So just like today, hope to be lucky on where you are born. mCr are smaller denominations of a credit)."[1]
Micro Credit
"The Micro-Credit (mcr) is used for civilian-sized purchases. There are 100 micro-credits to the credit. The Unit (u) is small change, with a hundred units to the micro-credit. A Unit is generally used only in the child economy or as a rounding fraction to calculate interest. Most adults never consciously use it."[1]
