Stolen Goods

Most canisters that you collect using your ship's cargo scoop in space is considered stolen. If you have not personally purchased the goods from a market and it's in your cargo hold then there's a good chance it's stolen property, because they initially belonged to someone else.

You can easily check the status of any cargo you are carrying by viewing the CARGO menu on the right hand screen in your ship.

Carrying stolen goods can be a dangerous pastime. Authorities, and other players, will often scan your cargo to see if you are carrying any stolen goods. If you are cargo scanned while carrying stolen goods you will incur a bounty!
