Racing
Racing is an activity where players set up racing circuits to compete with each other. It's usually organized on planet surfaces like canyons as well as stations and installations in space. This is an adrenaline fueled, expensive and dangerous sport. Popular racing ships are the Eagle and Imperial Eagle due to their fast acceleration. The SRV Scarab can be used for surface racing.
There's an underground racing club called EliteRacers which originated in the Sol system.[1]
The Buckyball Racing Club uses faster than light travel. For example interstellar racing: fly from Sol (or Wolf 359) to Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the centre of the galaxy, and record your time for doing so.[2]

Racing is not yet officially supported as a game mode. Suggestions have been made to add it to Multicrew.
