Type-6 Transporter
The Lakon Type-6 Transporter, like the much larger Lakon Type-9 Heavy, is a freighter vessel mainly used for trading and hauling. This ship uses medium-sized landing platforms, and unlike both of Lakon's larger trading vessels, may still dock at Outposts. It is a vessel designed for the sole purpose of transporting goods, and as such it is not very capable of defending itself.
When kitted for maximum cargo space, at around 100 tons, many pilots find that the Type-6 becomes quite suited for trading common commodities in bulk rather than running rare commodities long distances. With a far-ranging jump distance when upgraded, it is equally at home trading rare commodities or short-distance common commodities.
The Lakon Type-6, oddly enough, has also found a niche as an exploration vessel; when stripped down of all combat-related kit and stocked with an upgraded FSD, the Type-6 reaches jump ranges comparable to the Asp Explorer vessel at a much smaller price, though is significantly less capable of defending itself should it encounter a hostile vessel, and is still quite a bit more expensive than the Cobra ships also used for exploration.

Outfitting
All ships are highly customizable through outfitting. Each outfit slot has a maximum class that can be put into that slot. Apart from classes, outfits also have a quality rating A-I, and other characteristics such as energy drain, armor piercing, etc.
