Krait Mk II
The Krait, also known as the Krait Lightspeeder,[1] is a fighter ship known for its distinctive shape. By the time of Elite Dangerous, the Krait has not been in production for many years and is considered an antiquated design. Bill Turner kept a Krait among the collection of ships stored at his base on Alioth 4 A.[2] A new model of Krait is planned for release in the Q1 2018 update of Elite Dangerous: Beyond.
The new Krait appears to retain the same basic design as it's predecessor but it's substantially larger, appearing to be slightly larger than the Cobra MKIII and the Viper MkIII. The ship seems to be focused on combat with what appears to be two multi-crew seats mounted next to the cockpit, all of which are mounted under the ship. The ship's increased size has led to speculation that it will be capable of supporting a fighter bay as well.
