Lady Zi is a rogue pirate admiral of the Fire Lotus Coalition.[1][2] She originally supported Archon Delaine and the Kumo Crew, but defected in November 3312.[1] She is antiauthoritarian versus the three galactic superpowers.[1] She supports an independent and libertarian society.[1]
Biography
She is a mysterious figure who uses the pseudonym Lady Zi to protect her privacy.[2] Her legal name is unknown.[2] She was first mentioned by GalNet on 11 May 3312 related to the unprovoked attacks on starport facilities across Lhou Mans.[2] People were unwilling to share details about her because it was unknown or out of fear.[2] Lady Zi released a statement about her intentions and reasons for the attack on 3 November 3312.[1] This was broadcasted simultaneously as a looped video via malware on hacked starport holoscreens across hundreds of star systems.[1] She said: “Ordinary citizens across the core worlds - the backbone of civilisation - are oppressed by politicians and corporations growing fat on their industry.” “The systems of authority used by the Federation and Empire disgust me. Royals and capitalists exist only to enrich themselves through the misery of their servants,” “The Alliance play their little games of cooperation and equality, but all they want is a share of the same power." "For too long, the notions of a truly independent and libertarian society have failed because of the lack of vision to execute it."[1]
Fire Lotus Coalition
Lady Zi originally pledged allegiance Archon Delaine, but defected due to dissatisfaction in November 3312. She called his methods “organised thuggery, lacking strategy or long-term goals.”[1] She founded the Fire Lotus Coalition. It consists of individuals, organisations, and factions operating beyond the Kumo Crew structure.[1] They fiercely oppose authority.[1] Archon Delaine refused to respond to Vox Galactica.[1]
