Use double square brackets around the page title:

[[Sol]]
[[Sol|the Sol system]]

The part after the vertical bar is display text; the target remains the page title. A red link usually means that the target page does not exist, though appearance can vary by skin. Check spelling and target before creating a page. A section can be linked with a hash, for example Sol#Locations; the section name must match its heading or anchor.

Use one square-bracket pair, a full URL, a space, and readable link text:

[https://www.frontier.co.uk/ Frontier Developments]

A bare https:// URL is usually auto-linked. Prefer descriptive text and cite sources in article text according to Project:Citing sources.

Preview links before saving and ensure they point to the intended subject. Do not use external links to imitate internal links or hide a destination. For URL syntax and presentation, see Help:URL and Help:Plainlinks. External-link icons and colours can depend on the site's skin and configuration.
